Every organization says safety comes first. But when pressure rises, schedules tighten, or difficult trade-offs emerge — what actually happens? This final session in the Seven Essential Principles series is a live “pulse check” on the leadership behaviors shaping aviation safety right now.

Over the past three webinars, Flight Safety Foundation has explored the Seven Essential Principles of Aviation Safety Leadership through the lenses of clarity and governance, real-world application, and crisis conditions. This final session is a capstone — focused on measuring what’s sticking and identifying what needs to change to make safety leadership consistent across the system.

Using live audience polls and practical decision-making scenarios, we will take a “pulse check” on the leadership mechanics that determine safety performance: how trade-offs are made explicit and learnable, whether decision rights and escalation work at speed, how speak-up culture is reinforced through visible response patterns, and how quickly weak signals become preventive action through closed-loop learning. The session will close with a clear “next steps” focus — capturing the specific habits and mechanisms leaders can adopt in the next 30–90 days to embed safety leadership as a routine way of operating, not a one-off effort.

Reserve your spot and gain practical leadership strategies you can immediately apply across your operation.
