Randy McDonald is the manager of the National Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP). With over 57 years of aviation experience. He served 22 years in the United States Air Force, 18 years with United Airlines and he has been with the FAA for 17 years. His career started in ASAP in 2003 while assigned to United Airlines as the ASAP manager for the maintenance division. After joining the FAA in 2007 he continued his quest for safety by joining the Voluntary Program Branch and has been with ASAP ever since. He is an established speaker, consultant, and mentor for programs around the system. He currently manages the largest safety program in the world. His work in ASAP has made a significant contribution to the reduction of the accident/fatality rates in the US.
