Mitch Fox has an over 44 year career in civil aviation. Prior to joining the Flight Safety Foundation, Mitch was a flight crew member for a major airline, as well as senior training manager in the airline industry. Following his flying career, Mitch joined the International Civil Aviation Organization in March of 1991 and served the organization in various senior level capacities during his nearly 30-year career with ICAO. Mitch served as the Chief of the TRANAIR Programme, Chief of the Operational Safety Section and for three years as the Chief of Strategic Planning and Regional Affairs Coordination within the Office of the Secretary General. Mitch also served in the United Nations for two years as the Director of Air Transport Services managing the over two-hundred aircraft fleet that support UN Peace Keeping Missions worldwide. Following his career with ICAO, Mitch was the Representative to ICAO for the international aerospace industries association where he served as an Observer on the ICAO Air Navigation Commission.

Mitch Fox is a graduate of Purdue University and holds an honorary Doctorate from the National Aviation University of Ukraine.
