Major General Marcelo Moreno has served as the Chief of the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) and President of the National Committee for Aeronautical Accidents Prevention (CNPAA) since December 14, 2020. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Moreno joined the Brazilian Air Force in 1986 and has over 35 years of service, reaching his actual rank on March 31, 2021. He has extensive experience in aeronautical accident investigation and prevention actions, with more than 3,500 flight hours in various aircraft. Throughout his career, Moreno has held key positions such as Chief of the Operational Division and the Training and Development Division at CENIPA, as well as serving as Parliamentary Advisor to the Air Force Commander. His academic background includes courses from AFA, ECEMAR, and the University of Central Missouri (USA), where he completed a Master's in Aviation Safety.
