Paulo Soares is Senior Safety Investigations Specialist (Commercial Aviation), responsible for the activities associated with the support from the manufacturer to the Annex 13 investigations conducted by the national authorities worldwide. He has 34 years of experience in aviation and joined Embraer in 2000 as an Air Safety Engineer after working for an airline for 10 years. He represents Embraer in the ICAO OVSG (Occurrence Validation Study Group), CNPAA (Brazilian National Commission for the Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents), and ARCM (AIG Regional Cooperation Mechanism) of South America. For many years, he has continued to serve as an Annex 13 adviser in various international investigations and is an instructor for Embraer and CENIPA training programs. Mr. Paulo Soares holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Aviation Safety and Continued Airworthiness from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), and an MBA in Executive Management from Instituto Nacional de Pós-Graduação (INPG). Paulo has also had the opportunity to complete courses at the NTSB (Aircraft Accident Investigation) and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering (Aircraft Accident Investigation and Software Safety).
