APS Aerospace
Company Description
o The APS team of aviation and software development experts have been delivering flight data centric solutions to the aviation industry for over 25 years. Our head office is in Ottawa, Canada with an AMO Office in Hanover, Germany.
Our expertise includes FDA/FDM/FOQA/MOQA, Data visualisation/flight reconstruction, FDR & CVR annual certification readouts, Accident Investigation labs, and flight data-based fuel efficiency analysis.
We are also a client of the National Research Council’s Industry Research & Assistance Program (IRAP) since July of 2018. IRAP has been funding the development of data recovery systems for accident investigation as well as funding to extend lumina’s functionality to securely facilitate collaboration among airlines/industry for safety purposes. When it comes to aviation safety, secure and targeted collaboration at the parameter level paves the way for the next generation of safety gains.
APS staff has over 100 years of combined experience in flight data analysis solutions for aviation safety and efficiency. APS’ unique history and broad user base includes flight data experts from airlines including flag carriers, business jet operators, aircraft manufacturers including Boeing and Airbus as well as numerous government investigation authorities.
As important as the software tools we provide are, so is the operational expertise that comes with them. Rather than investing the minimum required due to other business interests, our entire development team is dedicated to our Flight Data Analysis tools. As one of the few companies that have Tier 1 airlines in our web-based vendor-hosted FDM model, we have developed advanced columnar database structures to facilitate interactive retrospective analysis, which was used extensively after the B737 Max accidents. With web technology, we have developed extensive customizable dashboards that allow users to facilitate their typical workflows. The dashboards allow for queries into the underlying database to provide real-time reporting that was not previously possible.
