Dr. Richard Kennedy joined CAE in December 2020 as Head of Learning Science and Human Performance within the Civil Global Training Organization (CGTO). In this role he champions Learning Science and Human Performance disciplines in order to assure the academic integrity of the products and services of Civil Aviation Training. Prior to CAE, Richard worked 18 years for The Boeing Company in Europe, collaborating with government and industry to enhance aviation system safety worldwide. He held a number of positions including Technical Manager – Systems Engineering and Assessment, Research & Technology Director - UK and BCA Aviation Safety Manager – Europe. In a 30+ year career working in Safety and Human Factors, Richard also has experience of working in Air Traffic Management, Railway, Offshore Oil and Gas and Nuclear industries.

Richard was formerly a Technical Fellow with The Boeing Company, is currently a Chartered Professional Engineer (CEng) with Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), has a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Risk Assessment. He has written 100+ externally published scientific papers and articles and has been invited to present work at both national and international forums.
