Eduardo Dueri is a lawyer from the Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia, with post graduate studies in Air and Space Law from the Institute of Air and Space Law of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and in Aviation Safety Management Systems and Aircraft Accident Investigation from the University of Southern California (UsC).

He has extensive aviation experience as he was Insurance Manager and Fuel and Insurance Director of Avianca Airlines for over 13 years, time during which he helped steer many international insurance and legal initiatives such as the IATA Intercarrier Agreements on Air Transport Liability and the amendment of the terms under which the market was to cover passenger exposures. He was also Administrative Vice President and Advisor to the President of Avianca Airlines in issues such as security, lease agreements, international legal affairs and alliance aspects. He thereafter assisted the airline in the reorganisation of the Flight Operations division, including the revision of all operational manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), revamping of the flight dispatch and flight training offices, and the appointment of the relevant managers, including those in charge of flight safety.

Right after his tenure at Avianca, he became Safety Director of the Latin American Air Carriers Association, AITAL, now ALTA. During his years at the association, he was instrumental in defining the key safety initiatives that would devote the attention of the member airlines and participated in several industry wide initiatives with IATA and the FAA encompassing issues such as LOC and CFIT.

Thereafter, he was Managing Director of Marsh´s Aviation and Aerospace Practice for 11 years and then Managing Director of JLT Aerospace Latin America/Global Aerospace Consulting Services for 6 years, responsible for all aviation insurance operations in Latin America and aviation safety and consulting services worldwide.

Since 2019 he is Managing Director of Gallagher Aerospace for Latin America and the Caribbean and Senior Partner of its Safety and Operations Aviation Risks Solutions, SOAR. He is thus in charge of leading the organisation in providing safety services to Gallagher´s extensive customer base in areas such as SMS, Human Factors, Accident Investigation, Safety Risk Management, Safety Planning and Change Management.

He is also a founding member of Latin American Aviation Safety Center of the Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogotá, a premier academic institution based in Bogotá, Colombia, now providing a safety certificate diploma in all relevant areas of safety management and administration to the aviation community in Latin America and the Caribbean regions.
