Gérson Floriz Costa Júnior, a Civil Aviation Regulation specialist at ANAC, has 15 years of experience in the sector. He has a degree in Data Processing Technology and a postgraduate degree in Civil Aviation Regulation and Safety Management (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University/PUCRS). Currently, at ANAC's Operational Safety Advisory Office (ASSOP), he coordinates strategic actions related to ICAO's Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP) and the State Safety Program—Implementation Assessment (SSPIA). She is responsible for coordinating the Brazilian Safety Team (BAST) groups, producing materials, and organizing events to promote operational safety. Her career at ANAC includes working in the Airport Infrastructure Superintendence (SIA), where she took part in the first ICAO USOAP audit in Brazil, in the Emergency Response Technical Management (GTRE), focusing on the Operational Safety Management System (SGSO) at airports, and in the Service Quality Management (GQES), dealing with economic regulation.
