Dr. Rithi Baruah serves as the Head of Human Factors & Crew Resource Management (CRM) at Air India, where she leads initiatives that enhance operational safety and crew performance. Holding a PhD in Aviation Psychology, she is Air India’s in-house Aviation Psychologist and Subject Matter Expert in Human Factors. Her specialized expertise spans crew resource management, fatigue risk mitigation, psychometric-based pilot selection, and crew mental health and counseling. A trailblazer in her field, Dr. Baruah was honored by the Ministry of Civil Aviation as India’s first Aviation Psychologist. She has represented the nation at numerous national and international forums, contributing thought leadership and advancing best practices in aviation psychology and human factors.
