Company Description
Civil Aviation University of China (CAUC), under the direct administration of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and with the joint support from CAAC, the People's Government of Tianjin Municipality and China’s Ministry of Education, is an industry-based university that focuses on the coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, management, science, economics, literature, law and arts. It aims to train students into highly-competent innovative professional and technical personnel with global perspectives.
With a total area of 1.694 million m2 and a building area of 874 thousand m2, CAUC now has two campuses in Tianjin, one in Dongli District and another in Ninghe District, and three flight training bases—Chaoyang Flight Academy, Inner Mongolia Flight Academy and Xinjiang Tianxiang Aviation Academy Co.,Ltd..
At CAUC, there are over 29,000 registered full-time students, including over 3,600 graduate students and over 240 international students, and over 2,100 faculty and staff, including 1,600 full-time teachers.
CAUC offers 47 bachelor programs, 1 postdoctoral program—Safety Science and Engineering and 1 doctoral program—Safety Science and Engineering. It is also authorized to confer master degrees in 14 first-level disciplines and to confer 7 types of professional master degrees.
CAUC and Groupe des Ecoles Aeronautiques et Spatiales de France (GEA) co-established Sino-European Institute of Aviation Engineering at CAUC in 2007. Today, CAUC has grown into a gold member of ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme. Its partners are everywhere around the world, including local governments, transportation enterprises, operational institutions, manufacturing enterprises, universities, industrial organizations and technology enterprises.
It remains committed to taking the lead in higher education of civil aviation, becoming the demonstration zone of scientific and technological innovation, building a think tank offering policy consulting, and setting the pace for international exchange. The overall goal is to build CAUC into a world-class civil aviation university with Chinese characteristics.
