Todd Sigler was named Senior Director of Global Safety & Regulatory Affairs in March 2020. He is a member of the enterprise Chief Aerospace Safety Office leadership team and works across Boeing to align safety and regulatory strategies. He leads a global team with a goal of enhancing aviation safety and ensuring Boeing’s voice is heard on key matters that affect not only safety, but also the regulatory efficiency of the industry. On behalf of the enterprise, this team works extensively with external stakeholders in support of a global aviation system striving to continuously improve industry safety. Prior to his current role, Todd served as the Director of Boeing Commercial Airplanes System Safety & Regulatory Affairs, with responsibility for coordinating and executing BCA safety, regulatory and rulemaking initiatives around the world. In doing so, Todd also led Commercial Airplanes’ relationships with numerous regulators and industry groups, supported operational validations of new models with customers and promotion of industry safety initiatives, much of which is still reflected in his current enterprise responsibilities. Prior assignments at Boeing include Senior Manager of Production Engineering in the Interiors Responsibility Center, Deputy ALIT Chief Engineer for the 787-10 development program and Senior Manager of Rulemaking and Regulatory Strategy. Before joining Boeing, Todd led initiatives for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) as Assistant Vice President of Civil Aviation, working closely with manufacturers in the civil aviation industry and various regulatory agencies. Todd began his career working for several general aviation manufacturers in a variety of leadership positions in engineering, manufacturing operations, quality and safety. He has represented Boeing and the manufacturing industry in ICAO, FAA, EASA and industry rulemaking and safety activities. Todd has a master’s degree in Aviation Safety and holds an FAA-issued private pilot license.
