Chris Bowden is the General Manager, Group Safety & Quality at HAECO Group, responsible for oversight and advancement of HAECO’s safety and quality culture journey across the Group’s eight companies as well as its new ventures.

Chris has worked for the Swire Group (the controlling owners of HAECO) since 2008, starting his career in the marine oil and gas industry, covering operational, commercial, HR, training, competence assurance and general management roles in Qatar, New Zealand, Australia, Cameroon, Kenya and Singapore. In 2018 he moved to Cathay Pacific as the Country Manager for Indonesia, covering the airline’s full operations in country. In 2020 he moved to Hong Kong and took on a planning and business improvement role in the airline’s Contact Centre division, rolling out digital contact channels and a transformational platform change project. He then spent 3 years in the airline’s Cargo division as the Head of Global Partnerships, looking after the airline’s highest value and key strategic commercial customers. In February 2025 he joined HAECO. Alongside his role at HAECO, he also chairs the Swire Pacific Health and Safety Committee and is a Member of the governing council of the Swire Trust (the philanthropic entity of the Swire Pacific Group).
