Simon is the Chief Regulatory and Safety Officer for Skyports Infrastructure, accountable for the company's global regulatory affairs, and safety, security and quality management functions. Accountabilities include securing approvals from national aviation authorities for vertiport and heliport operations, maintaining operational compliance, managing relationships with competent authorities, influencing the development and implementation of legislation, regulation and standards for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), as well as the implementation of global Safety Management, Security Management and Quality Management Systems (SMS, SeMS and QMS). Simon has around 20 years of experience in regulatory, policy and government affairs roles within the civil aviation, aerospace and civil engineering industries, including past roles with London Gatwick Airport, Royal Aeronautical Society and Institution of Civil Engineers. Simon is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
