Hiroyuki Kometani graduated from The University of Tokyo with a degree in Economics in 1989 and began his career with All Nippon Airways (ANA) in Passenger Services. Over more than three decades, he has held numerous leadership roles across key divisions, including Human Resources, Engineering & Maintenance, and Corporate Strategy for both ANA and ANA Holdings Inc. He was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2024. In his current role as Executive Vice President, he oversees the Operation Division and Government Aircraft Operations, while also serving as Chief Safety Officer to lead the airline's safety initiatives.
