Mr Alex Cornelius is currently the Divisional Vice President for Safety, Security & Quality at Singapore Airlines. In his current role, he is responsible for the overall management and oversight of the Safety Management, Quality Management and Security Managements systems, including providing independent advice to senior management and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. Alex joined Singapore Airlines Cargo in 2013 as its Safety Manger and assumed the Security, Quality and Environment por olios in Oct 2015. On SIA Cargo’s integration back into the parent Airline in 2018, he took on the role of Manager Cargo Safety, Security & Compliance. In 2019, Alex moved into the operations arena where he was responsible for all cargo operations in the Singapore Cargo Hub before taking on the position of Vice President Cargo Operations & Services in Jul 2022. He moved into his current role in Apr 2024. Prior to joining Singapore Airlines, Alex was with the Republic of Singapore Air Force for 23 years. He was a Navigator opera ng in the C130s and has served in various opera onal and safety posi ons across the Air Force. Prior to leaving the Air Force, he was the Head of Accident Preven on in the RSAF.
