Bertrand de Courville has over 40 years’ experience addressing aviation safety and human performance issues.
He retired as Corporate Safety Manager and Captain on Airbus A330 /A340 at Air France where he held various management positions. His operational expertise and practical knowledge about safety management led to his substantial involvement in various industry safety programs with IATA, Eurocontrol, ICAO, Flight Safety Foundation and EASA. Bertrand dedicate his work to aviation and healthcare organizations.
He is advising IATA and CEFA Aviation in support of its CEFA AMS software allowing pilots to replay their flights on their tablet after landing. He is member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigator (ISASI), Air and Space Academy (AAE) and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS). In 2000 he received the Flight Safety Foundation’s Laura Taber Barbour Air Safety award and in 2023 the Safety Forum award.
In addition to the Airbus A330 and A340 he is qualified on Boeing B737, B747, Airbus A320 and other type of aircraft from glider to float plane.
