Lauren has worked for the Met Office for almost 20 years. Starting as a scientist in the Aviation Applications team she worked on turbulence forecasts used as part of the World Area Forecast Services as well as other MET products used in the aeronautical industry. She then moved towards the customer relationship side of the organization, including a secondment to EUMETNET to manage their Aviation Programme. Currently Lauren is the Aviation Business Manager where relationships with Heathrow, NATS, the CAA are at the forefront of her activity as well as coordination with other airlines, airports and even spaceports are within her team’s remit.
