Sven Grassmueck is an airline pilot with 15 years of experience on short- and long-haul flights. Since 2016 he has dedicated himself to pushing flight safety at regional and international level.

Currently, he is the chairman of German ALPA´s (Vereinigung Cockpit) Airport Ground Environment Working Group (AGE). His team and himself are part of most German Runway Safety Teams with experience of hundreds of Safety Team Meetings over the years.

Internationally he is the vice-chairman of the International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations´ (IFALPA) Airport Ground Environment Working Group (AGE). Being a vice-chairman for IFALPA he is part of several ICAO working groups and a facilitator for IFALPA´s Runway Safety Team Course.

Besides others Mr Grassmueck is pushing for training and charting of EMAS-installations, Stopbars 24/7, Firemen-to-Flightcrew Emergency Frequencies and Runway Safety Teams.

If he is not engaged in one of the many working groups or flying, he enjoys travelling and gardening with his wife and two kids.
