Since 2017, Andrew has supported Delta Air Lines as the GM of Flight Safety and has been actively working in the safety of flight space since 2010. As Delta’s GM of Flight Safety, Andrew maintains responsibility for the safety of flight data collected across the operations as well as the strategy for the evolution of these data sources and integration into SMS. Andrew has led the efforts to stand up a Data and Decision Science team and SMS integration team as well as champion the development of the FlightPulse product, Risk Assessment Matrix product, and the regular collaboration processes between Flight Safety and the operations. Previous to his time at Delta, Andrew held various roles at MITRE supporting the ASIAS and Partnership For Safety portfolios of work.
Through his role at Delta, Andrew also supports the CAST JIMDAT, ASIAS IAT, and A4A Flight Safety Committee.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech’s Aerospace Systems Design Lab.
