The growing global demand for airspace — driven by both traditional operations and an expanding array of new aircraft and mission types — necessitates a fundamental transformation in air traffic management (ATM). Future ATM systems must accommodate this surge while preserving the high levels of safety that currently exist and enabling seamless integration of crewed and uncrewed aircraft.
