Sarbhpreet serves as a Senior Technical Advisor to the Executive Director for the Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention (AVP) in the FAA Aviation Safety organization.
Sarbhpreet leads a spectrum of critical functions, including safety intelligence and data analytics, global safety information sharing, and safety management enhancement initiatives. He also leads international engagement in the aforementioned areas, including positive safety culture.
Prior to his current role, Sarbhpreet served as an FAA Senior International Representative for the Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore, forging strategic regional partnerships. His extensive tenure also encompasses managerial positions within the FAA, where he played a pivotal role in shaping international strategy.
With a career spanning almost three decades, Sarbhpreet’s aviation journey began at Atlas Air as an aerospace engineer in 1995 and continued at the FAA as a certification engineer in 2002.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Management from New York University Tandon School of Engineering, complemented by FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses.
