Subway transportation to the Venue:
If you stay in another hotel and want to take the subway to the venue, you can take Line 1 & 5, getting off at Dongdan Station (Exit B) … it takes 8 minutes to the venue on foot. Or you may take Line 2, getting off at Jianguomen Station (Exit A), it takes 6 minutes to the venue on foot.
Taxi
Taking a taxi is the most convenient way for visitors to travel around the metropolis of Beijing, especially in the middle of the night or in early morning. Drivers in Beijing know the major landmarks, and most of them understand some simple English. Taxis charge not only according to meter, but also for waiting time in traffic and driving at night. The flag-down fare is 13 yuan ($1.96) for the first three km and 2.3 yuan per km for the rest of the journey. It is recommended to ask for a receipt from the driver because the car number, company name, driver registration and complaint telephone number information are listed on it.
Subway
The Beijing Subway has a total of 23 operating lines, including 22 subway lines and 1 airport express. Line 1 and 2 are the oldest routes, as well as the main routes for the in-city traffic. It is very convenient to take the subway to many popular tourist attractions.
Operation time: Around 5:00-23:00. Each line varies slightly, so please refer to the on-site bulletin.
Ticket price: A one-way ticket for the Airport Express Line is CNY ¥25. For the other lines, the ticket varies according to the distance.
For example, CNY ¥3 for destinations within 6 km (inclusive);
- CNY ¥4 for 6 to 12 km (inclusive);
- CNY ¥5 for 12 to 22 km (inclusive);
- CNY ¥6 for 22 to 32 km (inclusive); for distances over 32 km, CNY ¥1 is charged additionally for every 20 km.
At present, the farthest distance between two stations in the subway line is 88 km, with its fare being CNY ¥9. Please swipe the one-way ticket or all-purpose card when entering or exiting the subway. One-way tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth and the automatic ticket vending machine.

Buses
Beijing has a well-developed public transportation system. There are more than 1,500 regular bus lines in the urban and suburban areas of Beijing (excluding diversified lines such as business shuttle bus and shared bus), with bus routes leading to almost every community. Most routes are open from 5: 00 to 23: 00. In addition, there are 36-night shift lines running at night, which can meet the travel demand of hot spots at night.

CASH: In China, the renminbi (RMB; code: CNY) is the official currency. Visitors can exchange foreign currencies for RMB cash in advance before arriving to China. Individuals are allowed to bring up to RMB20,000 cash in or out of the country.
MOBILE: Download WeChat or Alipay app and follow the instructions for account registration. Cards accepted on these are Mastercard, Visa, JCB, Diners Club, and Discover logos or Chinese bank cards with the logo of UnionPay.
- When adding an international bank card to Alipay or WeChat, it is necessary to obtain authorization from the issuing bank. However, some issuing banks may reject the binding request due to their system's inability to recognize the connection information. In such cases, it is advisable to contact the issuing bank's customer service center or consider using a Chinese bank card instead.
- When using Alipay or WeChat for QR code payments through the bound international bank card, users are not required to pay an additional service fee if the transaction amount does not exceed RMB200; or, users need to pay a service fee at 3% of the transaction amount if the amount exceeds RMB200.
- Alipay and WeChat have set transaction limits for bound international bank cards, with an annual limit of USD50,000 and a single transaction limit of USD5,000. It is recommended that users who have added international bank cards to their apps, consider your specific use cases before using mobile payment.
**Users of Alipay HK, Wechatpay HK (HKSAR), mPay (Macao SAR), Kakao Pay (Republic of Korea), Touch'n Go eWallet (Malaysia), HiPay (Mongolia), Changi Pay (Singapore), OCBC (Singapore), Naver Pay (Republic of Korea), Toss Pay (Republic of Korea), and TrueMoney (Thailand) can make QR code payments through these e-wallets in the Chinese mainland.

The electric current in China is 220V, 50 Hz. Most hotels have built-in converters in bathrooms for shavers and hair dryers. Please note that a variety of plug types are used in China and adaptors may be necessary. Two types of sockets are used in China: three-pin socket (a grounding pin and two flat prongs forming a V-shape) and two-pin socket (two flat parallel prongs without grounding).

All foreign nationals entering the People’s Republic of China need to undergo customs inspection. Customs declarations are required for delegates who carry cash in excess of US $5,000 (or its equivalent in other currencies) and/or items that are subject to customs clearance.

Overseas visitors to China can exchange foreign currencies for RMB cash in advance in relevant countries or regions before bringing it into China (each visitor is allowed to take up to RMB20,000 in cash in or out of the country).
Overseas visitors to China can exchange foreign currencies for RMB cash at commercial bank branches, money changers, and self-service currency exchange machines at international airports, land ports, ports, and other entry ports, or withdraw RMB cash using international bank cards at ATMs.

Participants can bring passports to the service offices of telecom operators such as China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Broadnet, to apply for a SIM card and activate mobile communication services in China.
The mobile communication service plans usually include call time and data. Different operators will provide different service plans according to customers' needs, and users can choose the appropriate one.
Note: The plans often offer a limited amount of data. You can disable internet access when not using internet services if the data offered is little. Or, you are suggested to consult the telecom operator for an appropriate data plan if you need to use a large amount of data.
