Abhishek Kharkar has been a part of the Singapore Airlines Group since August 1996. After completing his degree in Electronics Engineering, he commenced his career with Singapore Airlines graduating from the Singapore Airlines Cadet Pilot Program and seamlessly transitioning into a professional aviation career. His 27-year tenure in aviation thus far, with the prestigious Singapore Airlines Group has given him the opportunity to fly several aircraft types, namely the A310, B744, B777, A330, A350 and B787.
Over the past 12 years he has been assigned to various management roles for the training department taking on several assignments and projects that have enhanced his knowledge and given him a broader perspective in his approach to flight crew training. Currently he is serving as the Head of Training (Designate) at SCOOT PTE LTD.
His responsibilities and accomplishments have included:

Managing and designing tailored training programs that enhance both the technical prowess and the essential soft skills of flight crews and flight instructors.

Integral member in the development and facilitation of the Flight Instructor Development Program (FIDP) which is aimed at training all grades of flight instructors.

Development and implementation of Evidence-Based Training at Singapore Airlines Limited and SCOOT PTE LTD.

Orchestrating the launch of the Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) program on the A350 at Singapore Airlines and B787 at SCOOT PTE LTD.

Integral member of the SIA Group's AR/VR project team, enhancing aviation safety and training through cutting-edge technology.
Along with his management roles he has also concurrently served as a Flight Instructor (TRI) and Authorized Flight Examiner (TRE) for A330 and A350 Flight Crew Training, including Flight Instructor Training and Audits. Currently he is serving as a B787 Flight Instructor (TRI) and Authorized Flight Examiner (TRE) at SCOOT PTE LTD.
Aviation training being his passion, his aim has always been to interact with likeminded individuals sharing ideas and collaborating to elevate aviation training standards and thus enhancing aviation safety.
