Dr. Chong Chun Hon is the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Medical Board of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). He is also a Visiting Consultant to the Singapore Armed Forces for Aviation Medicine. Dr. Chong has over 30 years of experience as a specialist in Aviation Medicine. Prior to joining the CAAS in 2009, he served in the Singapore Armed Forces for 22 years where he had held various staff and command appointments. He was the Chief Air Force Medical Officer of the Republic of Singapore Air Force and the Assistant Chief of Medical Corps of the Singapore Armed Forces when he completed his military service.
Dr Chong has been a member of International Academy of Aviation and Space Medicine since 2007 and is currently its Deputy Secretary-General. He is also a member of the Mental Health Working Group of the Aerospace Medical Association, an international professional organization in the fields of aviation, space and environmental medicine.
