While the aviation system has benefited from astounding technological advancements and automation, the human in the loop is still critical to aviation safety. Aviation professionals are expected to perform their respective functions within the system with high level of reliability. It is well accepted that the mental health and well-being of these individuals would exert an impact on their performance. Yet issues of mental health and wellbeing of individuals are complex and multi-faceted in nature. This panel of experts will share their views on the challenges faced both by aviation organisations in safeguarding and promoting the mental health and well-being of their workers, and those faced by professionals, with a focus on reporting issues, and the approaches that can be taken to level up efforts with time.
