Jason is an accomplished aviation safety expert and President and CEO of the Business Aviation Safety Consortium (BASC). A United States Air Force veteran, he spent 15 years flying air medical and charter operations, serving as Director of Safety for a major Chicago-based charter company. His extensive career includes key leadership roles at prestigious organizations, including Universal Weather and Aviation, where he pioneered their safety management system service. As the IS-BAO Operations Manager at the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), he shared his expertise globally, teaching safety management systems (SMS) and operating standards. Later, as VP of Safety and Standards at Baldwin Safety and Compliance, he guided the development of software solutions and helped flight departments implement effective safety management systems. Jason's influence extends to international aviation policy through his service on ICAO's Safety Management Panel, where he contributed to the development of the 4th Edition of Doc. 9859. He continues to shape future aviation professionals as an instructor at USC's Aviation Safety and Security program. His academic credentials include a B.S. in Meteorology, an M.S. in Aviation Operations with a specialization in Safety, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and Behavior, reflecting his commitment to both the practical and theoretical aspects of aviation safety and organizational excellence.
