Jonathan Morrell is a Senior Product Manager at GE Digital, Aviation Software, specializing in software applications for pilots. He has over a decade of experience working in the aviation industry and has collaborated on projects with a variety of aircraft operators during his career, from large international airlines to Part 91 corporate flight departments. He has worked on GE’s EFB app called FlightPulse for the last 7 years, first developing tailored data visualizations and actionable metrics for pilots looking to improve their own safety and efficiency performance while it was in its product infancy. This was followed by a transition into product management in 2022, where he currently focuses on defining the growth strategy for GE Aerospace Software as a Service products that target the pilot persona. Jonathan’s background is in aerospace engineering, and he holds a BS in ASE from the University of Texas at Austin. He also studied in Toulouse, France at ENAC and ISAE-SUPAERO, receiving a GEA Program certificate for coursework on global industry governance and applied aerodynamics and propulsion systems. He’s been passionate about aviation for his entire life and he’s most fascinated by the challenges in flight operations that can be solved by equipping pilots with data. He’s equally passionate about working with customers and has spent his recent time at GE developing frameworks for building product user communities and partnering with airlines to design the data-driven tools they anticipate their pilots will need next.
