Susie is the driving force behind Oliver Wyman Vector’s US Safety Practice, bringing over 25 years of safety experience across diverse industries including Oil & Gas, Aviation, Rail, Utilities and Mining. Following a catastrophic incident at BP’s Texas City Refinery in 2005, Susie played a pivotal role in the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide Operating Management System, (OMS) incorporating all aspects of Safety, Security, Operations, Maintenance, Environment and Quality. She also led the Safety Culture and Change Management response as OMS was being designed and established across BP’s twelve refineries. In 2017, Susie joined Delta Air Lines as Director of Corporate Safety with a focus on Occupational Safety, Safety Leadership and Culture. A passionate advocate for sustainable workplace change, Susie actively engages with global thought leaders across the safety community to advance consideration of Human & Organizational Performance, Learning from All Operations, Systems Thinking and Resilience Engineering and the Socio-economic impacts on safety and well-being.
