Tom Lintner is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Aloft Group, LLC (USA) and Aloft Aviation Consulting, Ltd (Ireland), organizations specializing in aviation safety, risk management, and investigative training worldwide. A Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, London, and a dual U.S.–Irish citizen, Mr. Lintner brings over 50 years of international aviation experience spanning regulatory, operational, and investigative domains. A former FAA Manager of the Air Traffic Investigations Division and Chief of Staff for the FAA’s Air Traffic Oversight Organization, he managed numerous major accident and incident investigations, including interagency coordination with the Department of Homeland Security, NORAD, and the U.S. National Emergency Management Team. His early FAA career included tower and radar operations at LaGuardia and Dulles International Airports, and he later led projects in collision avoidance (TCAS/ACAS), simultaneous approaches (SOIA), and LAHSO safety initiatives. He holds a US Airline Transport Pilot License and an FAA Air Traffic Control license for Terminal and Radar Approach Control. Mr. Lintner currently leads international safety and Just Culture programs, serving as a EUROCONTROL-certified Safety Auditor and instructor in the EUROCONTROL Prosecutors Expert Program, training judiciary and regulators on safety investigation standards. His firm provides litigation and forensic investigation support globally, advising airlines, airports, and aviation authorities.
