Christopher Lea is an accomplished aviation leader, former British and Australian Army Aviation Officer and an experienced military and commercial pilot with more than 35 years across global aviation operations. His career spans combat and instructional flying, senior operational and safety leadership in Defense Aviation, and executive roles in civil and business aviation-including Head of Aviation Safety for Airbus Helicopters APAC and Group Safety Manager for one of Australia’s largest flight training organisations. Chris now leads CLARIS, a consultancy specialising in aviation risk, safety leadership and organisational resilience. His approach blends high reliability and psychological safety principles with mission command leadership to build teams that perform under pressure.
