David Wroth is the Senior Director of Standards Technology & Operations for UL Standards & Engagement. He leads a team that builds, operates, and maintains processes and systems to collaborate on, publish, distribute, and amplify policies and standards that support safe living and working environments for people. He leads the Thermal Runaway Incident Program (TRIP), aggregating and analyzing information to reduce the risks of lithium battery incidents in aviation. David also served on the U. S. Department of Transportation Lithium Battery Aviation Safety Advisory Committee, chairing the Data Collection & Analysis Subcommittee. He was instrumental in building the data science capability to collect and analyze data from disparate sources and to develop insights to improve safety programs and standards. David received a Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University.
