As a symbol of future transportation, the vertiport showcases advanced air mobility technologies and offers visitors a glimpse into the next generation of urban travel. Located along Osaka Bay, it also provides an attractive waterfront setting and a unique Expo-related experience. SPACE IS LIMITED! OSAKAKO Vertiport, developed and operated by Osaka Metro Co., Ltd., is purpose-built vertiport for eVTOL aircraft—a dedicated facility for the takeoff and landing of eVTOL—and it was used for demonstration flights during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The vertiport facilities include a hangar for the maintenance, charging, and storage of eVTOLs, a takeoff and landing area, and a passenger facility where users can experience the simulated check-in and boarding of a mock-up eVTOL aircraft through a process that includes facial recognition. During the visit, Osaka Metro Co., Ltd. will provide an overview of the site, and there are exhibitions by ANA HOLDINGS INC., ORIX Corporation, SkyDrive Inc., Soracle Corporation, and Toyota Motor Corporation set up inside the hangar. Though there will be no operational eVTOL aircraft on display, a variety of eVTOL mock-ups will be there on the day of the visit. In addition, a full-sized mock-up will also be exhibited, and guests will be able to board them and experience the interior. Osaka Metro Unveils "OSAKAKO Vertiport" for eVTOL at Expo 2025
